Christmas card is one of the oldest traditions associated with Christmas and it was used to spread the sentiment and good cheer over the festive period.
The traditional Christmas message “wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year” has, of course, changed over the years and these days you many people use more personal messages and even famous quotes for your cards.
There are numerous variations on the original greeting message and many cards are available pre-printed with more religious sentiment, with a poem, prayer or even Christmas songs. More generic ones include a standard message of “Season’s greetings”.
If you prefer to include a famous (or less known) quote in your Christmas card, here are some great suggestions you can use.
