9 Work-Life Balance Tips for Busy Parents

Getting your life and work balance right is almost an impossible task these days.

You’re surrounded with technology that keeps you accessible nonstop. No one can blame you for working the extra hours as we all know we live in a competitive world. If you don’t go the extra mile, someone else will.  It is a common practice these days that employees are taking their work home and work at weeknights and even weekends.

While the days are not getting any longer, the works seem to be piling up and there’s simply not enough time for family time or relax.  Does this sound familiar?

Finding the right work and life balance can mean something complete different to each one of us, but the experts agree on few things that can make a big difference in your every day juggle of family and work.

First and foremost, you should consider taking up regular exercise, it is as important as having a proper breakfast and getting enough sleep. Exercise is a very effective stress reducer, it fuels your body with feel-good endorphins and it helps to lift your mood.

Secondly, you need to remember to “unplug” when you get home. Turn off your phone, or put in on silent and leave your laptop in your office room. By not being able to constantly check your emails, you’ll enjoy your family time a lot more.
